Music Review of 'Jo Hum Chahein'

Music : - Sachin Gupta
Lyrics : - Kumaar

I haven't heard all the songs but got to listen to only 2 tracks, both sung by my favorite KK. So I won't be able to tell you about the album, but will review only these 2 songs.

1. Abhi Abhi :- Singer - KK & Sasha Tirupati.

This one belongs to the genre Blues!! Kicks off with mellow voice of Sasha. The way she sings 'Ankh Piji Te Dil Roya' makes you think it's Tujhe Bhula Diya - Part 2. Not in terms of music, but in terms of style. After that there is strong electronic tune that actually intensifies the emotions of this melodious hummable song. KK has sung rest of this track and sounds crisp & fresh as always. Must say, Sachin Gupta has not disappointed with his work in this album. Instrumentals and vocals quite compliment each other. KK's super singing accompanied by electronic tunes create magic. The tune that comes after the main lines (as in Zindagi Naraaz Hui) in Mukhda & both the paras is quite catchy and touches heart straightaway especially in the paras. Sachin has left no stone unturned to make this song a true companion of broken hearts. 5 out of 5 for this.

2. Ishq Hothon Se :- Shreya Ghoshal & KK.

Now this is what I call a co-incidence. Heard this on a music channel and when Shreya sang the words 'Ishq Hothon Se To', i literally jumped in the air!!! Exactly similar to the tune of a song (Saansein Ruk Si Gayi Hain) I wrote last year. I am not accusing him of plagiarism as this is purely co-incidence. Rest of the song is completely different. Lets talk about music. Shreya straightaway builds the momentum of this super melodious tuneful catchy number. Effortless and mesmerizing. Every lover must sing this to her / his love interest! Sound of distorted electric guitar adds to the feel. Brilliant composition and singing. Lyrics also appeal a lot. My pick of the album. Again 5 out of 5!!

Songs To Tell Your Love She Is Beautiful - My Favorites

Your girl is beautiful. You like her everything. Her eyes, face, smile, the way she speaks, the way she walks & what not? Today, I present a list of a few songs (both Hindi & English) that just beautifully describe HER beauty. It of course, is in my opinion & may not necessarily excite you. Like I always say, give songs their time to grow on you. Don't write it off straight away.
I am not including James Blunt's You're Beautiful as I have not heard that song properly. Also, Chaudahvin Ka Chaand doesn't feature here since am not very much into old songs.

So, below is the list of my favourite songs that I hear to praise her beauty, in no particular order.

1. Main Agar Kahoon(Om Shanti Om) - Sonu Nigam & Shreya Ghoshal.
Main agar kahoon tumsa haseen, kaaynaat mein nahin hai kahin, taareef ye bhi to sach mein kuchh bhi nahin.
No need to explain anything. She indeed is beautiful & this song seconds that.
2. Ek Ladki To Dekha To Aisa Laga(1942 A Love Story) - …

Song of the Week - "Stupid With You" by Eric Saade

"I can't seem to walk right, I cant seem to talk right, I keep doing stupid little things. You cripple my brain babe, by being amazing, I keep doing stupid little things. Am stupid with you, you raise my heartbeat when you smile. Am stupid with you, you raise my heartbeat everytime. Am stupid with you, you, you. Am stupid with you, you, you." If the above lines didnt excite you, you never loved someone. Only a person who loves can feel the warmth of it. Today, I present a song that describes aptly the condition of a doting lover. Its one super sweet, super cute song that goes to warm your heart & make you love your lover's smile even more. Stupid With You is an upbeat bubblegum pop (not sure, though!) song from Eric Saade's 2nd Studio Album Saade Vol. 1 which debuted at # 1 on Swedish Albums Chart & continued to be for 5 weeks!. It remained on the chart for 44 weeks & was the fastest selling album for 2011. Its written by none other than Fredrik Kempe alon…

Hindi Songs Without Percussion.

Around 4 years ago when i took NIIT IT Aptitude Test (NITAT), first question that I encountered was a comprehension one. It was a paragraph about drums & percussion. It said percussion is heart of any song. Well, I agree. But there are a few songs that don't have percussion part. Percussion means any music instrument like drums, tabla, dhol, dholak, mridang etc. Probably this is first of its kind post. Below are the 2 very good songs that don't rely on percussion.
1. Jaao Na (What's Your Raashee?) - Music & Singer - Sohail Sen. Progressive. Almost entirely carried out by guitar strings. Very enjoyable, very sweet.

2. Tujhko Jo Paaya (Crook) - Music - Pritam, Singer - Mohit Chauhan. Again relies on guitar strings. Down-tempo & a bit coarse.
