Shanghai - My Music Review / Opinion

Reviewing Music of Shanghai!
Music - Vishal-Shekhar.

Have not heard all of the songs from Shanghai. Only 3 songs I have heard & based on that I am writing this review which is more like my opinion rather than pure review. Will add rest of the songs soon as I am very busy these days. Shanghai is slightly different from usual Vishal-Shekhar stuff. Not an outstanding album but still very much enjoyable. I am hooked to Khudaaya for its melody & Shekhar's voice. Below is the review of the 3 songs. I know this is rather short review!

1. Dua : - Singers - Nandini Sirkar, Arijit Singh & Shekhar Ravjiani.

Didn't like it much. May be I need to give it a few more hearings. Will review it once more after listening to it properly.

2. Khudaaya : -  Singers - Shekhar Ravjiani & Raja Hasan.

This one stands out. The best song of the album. USP is Shekhar's voice. Neat composition & great lyrics. I always wonder why Shekhar doesn't sing more often. This track is a sheer delight. Very very catchy & melodious. Croons by Raja Hasan aslso impress a lot.

3. Khudaaya (Remix) : - Singers - Shekhar Ravjiani

If original was a soft, mellow number, this one is a peppier, more energetic version. Instantly catchy & likeable. Electronic arrangements make it more haunting & enjoyable. Shekhar sounds really good. You will love both the versions.
Will review the other songs soon including the hyped Bharat Mata Ki Jai. Till then, enjoy Khudaaya & its remix. I am addicted to them both.

Songs To Tell Your Love She Is Beautiful - My Favorites

Your girl is beautiful. You like her everything. Her eyes, face, smile, the way she speaks, the way she walks & what not? Today, I present a list of a few songs (both Hindi & English) that just beautifully describe HER beauty. It of course, is in my opinion & may not necessarily excite you. Like I always say, give songs their time to grow on you. Don't write it off straight away.
I am not including James Blunt's You're Beautiful as I have not heard that song properly. Also, Chaudahvin Ka Chaand doesn't feature here since am not very much into old songs.

So, below is the list of my favourite songs that I hear to praise her beauty, in no particular order.

1. Main Agar Kahoon(Om Shanti Om) - Sonu Nigam & Shreya Ghoshal.
Main agar kahoon tumsa haseen, kaaynaat mein nahin hai kahin, taareef ye bhi to sach mein kuchh bhi nahin.
No need to explain anything. She indeed is beautiful & this song seconds that.
2. Ek Ladki To Dekha To Aisa Laga(1942 A Love Story) - …

Song of the Week - "Stupid With You" by Eric Saade

"I can't seem to walk right, I cant seem to talk right, I keep doing stupid little things. You cripple my brain babe, by being amazing, I keep doing stupid little things. Am stupid with you, you raise my heartbeat when you smile. Am stupid with you, you raise my heartbeat everytime. Am stupid with you, you, you. Am stupid with you, you, you." If the above lines didnt excite you, you never loved someone. Only a person who loves can feel the warmth of it. Today, I present a song that describes aptly the condition of a doting lover. Its one super sweet, super cute song that goes to warm your heart & make you love your lover's smile even more. Stupid With You is an upbeat bubblegum pop (not sure, though!) song from Eric Saade's 2nd Studio Album Saade Vol. 1 which debuted at # 1 on Swedish Albums Chart & continued to be for 5 weeks!. It remained on the chart for 44 weeks & was the fastest selling album for 2011. Its written by none other than Fredrik Kempe alon…

Hindi Songs Without Percussion.

Around 4 years ago when i took NIIT IT Aptitude Test (NITAT), first question that I encountered was a comprehension one. It was a paragraph about drums & percussion. It said percussion is heart of any song. Well, I agree. But there are a few songs that don't have percussion part. Percussion means any music instrument like drums, tabla, dhol, dholak, mridang etc. Probably this is first of its kind post. Below are the 2 very good songs that don't rely on percussion.
1. Jaao Na (What's Your Raashee?) - Music & Singer - Sohail Sen. Progressive. Almost entirely carried out by guitar strings. Very enjoyable, very sweet.

2. Tujhko Jo Paaya (Crook) - Music - Pritam, Singer - Mohit Chauhan. Again relies on guitar strings. Down-tempo & a bit coarse.
