Love Is In The Air (Pop Music Album) - My Music Review / Opinion

Reviewing "Love Is In The Air" Pop music album
Love Is In The Air - Pop Music Album

Pop culture seems to have lost somewhere now. I still remember my childhood days when I was hooked to Albums like Deewana (Sonu Nigam), Tanha Dil (Shaan) & Pal (KK). There used to be so much freshness in music that time. Now a days pop has paved way to item songs & usual bollywood stuff. Though still there are composers who have maintained quality in bollywood music. Love Is In The Air is one of those very few Pop albums that actually release these days. Otherwise Pop is lost. Barring Sonu Nigam, KK & Shreya Ghoshal, almost all the famous contemporary singers' voice feature in this album. First 2 songs just stand out.

1. Jaan Ho Meri : - Singer - Shaan.
Typical Pop number. Piano chords open this mushy romantic, sugary song. Tunes are quite catchy. Shaan sounds very fresh like his Pop days. Electronic organ also accompanies piano quite well. Good opening to the album. Highly likeable. Tuneful & sweet. Go for it.

2. Anahat : - Singer - Javed Ali.
Probably the best composition of the album. Piano chords again open this beautiful piece of melody. Javed Ali is becoming the next KK & Mohit Chouhan. Whatever he sings is likeable. Anahat is one gem of a song. Great lyrics, superb composition & brilliant singing. Soft, melodious, easy on ears & magical. Indian music can be felt easily. Tabla sounds make it sound like a complete Indian melody. Go for it.

3. Salona : - Singer -Alka Yagnik.
Good to hear Alka Yagnik after so many days. One good thing with veteran singers is that they never grow old. I mean, they always sound fresh. Salona is one typical Alka Yagnik song. Again an Indian melody based number. Very easy on ears. Slow paced melody & short. Just like my compositions. This one will grow on you. Very soft & fresh. Girls will love this for sure :)

4. Wanna Keep On Loving You : - Singer - Shankar Mahadevan.
Here comes Shankar Mahadevan who never fails to deliver. This one might not attract you straightaway but will grow on you. A typical Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy composition (though I don't know who composed this) that will slowly grow on you. Do give it a try as well. Music is simple but orchestration is a bit complex. Background raps & electric guitar make it interesting.

5. Tera Mera Pyar : - Singer - Neha Bhasin.
This time its Neha Bhasin behind mic. Didn't like it much but will surely appeal to masses. Song is simple with urban feel. Not exactly romantic. Won't comment much on this. I don't find the tune catchy.

6. Shukriya : - Singer - Babul Supriyo.
The only Rock number in the album. Bass guitar riffs open this typical Rock n' Roll song. This one is a bit interesting, though not much catchy. But will sure grow on you. Percussion is soft, so is orchestration. Babul Supriyo sounds a bit less energetic than needed. But an okay song, nonetheless. The end part is good where he changes his pitch. A good end to the album.

Love Is In The Air is a good album considering the fact that it only has 6 songs. Tera Mera Pyar is a bit disappointing but youth will love it. Love & Romance can be felt in almost all the songs that justifies the title.

My Pick(s) : - Anahat & Jaan Ho Meri.

Shaan, Javed Ali, Neha Bhasin, Alka Yagnik, Shankar Mahadevan & Babul Supriyo @ launch of this music album.

Songs To Tell Your Love She Is Beautiful - My Favorites

Your girl is beautiful. You like her everything. Her eyes, face, smile, the way she speaks, the way she walks & what not? Today, I present a list of a few songs (both Hindi & English) that just beautifully describe HER beauty. It of course, is in my opinion & may not necessarily excite you. Like I always say, give songs their time to grow on you. Don't write it off straight away.  I am not including James Blunt's You're Beautiful as I have not heard that song properly. Also, Chaudahvin Ka Chaand doesn't feature here since am not very much into old songs. So, below is the list of my favourite songs that I hear to praise her beauty, in no particular order. 1. Main Agar Kahoon (Om Shanti Om) - Sonu Nigam & Shreya Ghoshal. Main agar kahoon tumsa haseen, kaaynaat mein nahin hai kahin, taareef ye bhi to sach mein kuchh bhi nahin. No need to explain anything. She indeed is beautiful & this song seconds that. 2. Ek Ladki To Dekh

Hindi Songs With Key-change!

Probably the first post of its kind (once again)! This very post talks about key-change in Hindi songs. What is a key-change all about? Well, click the link in the line above & listen to the songs there. You will notice a sudden change in sound towards the end. That's key-change for you. While most of the western-style music relies on it (not necessarily), its a rare phenomena in Hindi songs just like this . If you're keen listener, you'll be able to feel the difference in sound aka the key! Below are such very few Hindi songs. 1. Chup Chup Ke - Movie:- Rush | Music: - Pritam 2. Hum Sey - Movie:- Humse Hai Jahan | Music:- Siddharth - Suhas Siddharth - Suhas are known for their Rock influenced music & vocalist Suraj Jaggan, too, is known for his Rock influenced vocals. Powerful voice, though melody doesn't impress much. Lyrics are cliched as well. But I like it for that KEY-CHANGE! 3. Tum Ho Mera Pyaar - Movie:- Haunted 3D | Music:- Chirantan B

Axwell Λ Ingrosso - Dreamer

Swedish duo  Axwell Λ Ingrosso ( who were 2/3rd of legendary Progressive House trio Swedish House Mafia ) made their comeback in 2014 with a new single called Something New . I am not counting the debut EP X4 here. Something New quickly became my top favourite & I still consider it the best track they have ever produced. I can even say Something New is one of my all-time favourites across all the genres. But this post is not about Something New . It is about something new ;) So, I am talking about their another single Dreamer from their debut album More Than You Know . I first heard the song when I was on my first Europe trip & it is one of the reasons why I love this song so much. It is hard for me not to associate music with time! There is an interesting story about it.  Axwell Λ Ingrosso released a teaser of Dreamer during Amsterdam Dance Event 2016 ( ADE ) at Heineken Music Hall. And since the song is dramatically catchy & it also reminded people of good
