Dreaming, hoping, for another try.
I've been looking, searching, deeper down inside.
And if I lose my way, I'll find another road.
Cause I can make a change on my own.
I'm moving on,
I've been looking, searching, deeper down inside.
And if I lose my way, I'll find another road.
Cause I can make a change on my own.
I'm moving on,
And I'm gonna get stronger now,
And nothing will break me down.
I will not give in to doubt.
Those days are gone,
I can be who I wanna be.
And start living my life for me,
I believe it finally.
I'm moving on.
And nothing will break me down.
I will not give in to doubt.
Those days are gone,
I can be who I wanna be.
And start living my life for me,
I believe it finally.
I'm moving on.
Fredrik Kempe writes his heart out whenever he is to write ballads (Break of Dawn, A Stranger Saved My Life, My Mistake to name a few). Moving On is no exception. We have numerous songs to describe pain of heart-break but this one is different. You can think of it as a song that will pull you up, motivate you, inspire you & help overcome the blues no matter what the situation is. Don't just look at it as another heart-break song. It evokes hope when you're down. Moving On is for all those who need a kick to get up & start running. Enough said.
Moving On is a ballad written by Fredrik Kempe & Sarah Dawn Finer. Lyrics have been by the same two people. And, though, am not a huge fan of Fredrik's lyrics this one is his best literary work till date. If you're not convinced, look at the top of this post again. The song featured in Melodifestivalen 2009 where it advanced to Andra Chansen round & ultimately finished 6th overall. Interestingly 3 of Fredrik's 4 songs reached its final & his own song La Voix won the contest! Lets now discuss it in detail.
Clock Pendulum followed by piano chords make the intro. Verses are subtle & melodious. Song gradually picks up pace with chorus. Those drums are amazing. Dramatic! Middle eight is where all hells break loose. She screams & puts all her energy there. Then the last chorus which is sung in a really high pitch. Full marks to her singing. This completes another Fredrik Kempe masterpiece. Watch it below.
