Armin van Buuren presents Gaia - Humming The Lights (Full Version)

So, Armin van Buuren here featuring for the very first time on my "not at all popular blog" :-) The only DJ in the world to be ranked World's No. 1 DJ by DJ Mag (A Magazine) five times, 5 years in a row!! This brief info is for those who still don't know what kind of superstar musician he is :-) I have a fairly long play-list of his songs on my phone & selecting one out of that, is a tough task. I decided to select Humming The Lights here because of the vibes I get when I listen to this.

Humming The Lights is a Progressive Trance song by Armin. You might be wondering who is Gaia? ;-) When there are no vocals in this song, how can it feature someone else as its artist? Well, Gaia is a duo composed of Armin himself along-with his frequent collaborator Benno de Goeij. Benno has co-written & co-produced many of Armin's songs. They use this alias for their darker productions & they perform with their faces covered ;-)

Coming back to song, Humming The Lights was included as a bonus track in Armin's fifth studio album Intense. It has got a dark melody that gives an impression of a suspense-thriller movie's soundtrack. Gradually it turns into an anthemic sonic experience. There are 3 distinct melodies & a gorgeous bassline all giving a euphoric feel to it. Don't know why, but I always feel good whenever I listen to this song. For a change, it makes me forget my worries with its dark, engaging sound. It doesn't make you dance, but it surely makes you feel better :-)

Below is the Full Version of Humming The Lights.

Oh, and yeah if you prefer the live performance, below is Armin performing it live in Tomorrowland 2013 with an amped tempo aka BPM which turns it into more of a dance track :-) But yes, he is performing it as Armin & not Gaia, so his face is visible :-D

Songs To Tell Your Love She Is Beautiful - My Favorites

Your girl is beautiful. You like her everything. Her eyes, face, smile, the way she speaks, the way she walks & what not? Today, I present a list of a few songs (both Hindi & English) that just beautifully describe HER beauty. It of course, is in my opinion & may not necessarily excite you. Like I always say, give songs their time to grow on you. Don't write it off straight away.  I am not including James Blunt's You're Beautiful as I have not heard that song properly. Also, Chaudahvin Ka Chaand doesn't feature here since am not very much into old songs. So, below is the list of my favourite songs that I hear to praise her beauty, in no particular order. 1. Main Agar Kahoon (Om Shanti Om) - Sonu Nigam & Shreya Ghoshal. Main agar kahoon tumsa haseen, kaaynaat mein nahin hai kahin, taareef ye bhi to sach mein kuchh bhi nahin. No need to explain anything. She indeed is beautiful & this song seconds that. 2. Ek Ladki To Dekh...

Dangerous Ishq - My Music Review

Reviewing Dangerous Ishq Music. Music : - Himesh Reshammiya  Lyrics : - Sameer Anjaan & Shabbir Ahmed. Dangerous Ishq has 5 originals, 4 Remixes & 2 Reprise version. It is one of those rare music albums that is based on Indian melody barring Umeed which is fast, peppy foot-tapping number. You won't find usual stuff in the album (talking about the 5 originals only). Music is simple, melodious, easy on ears & a bit repetitive. Below is the review of Dangerous Ishq. 1. Tu Hi Rab Tu Hi Dua :- Singer(s) - Rahat  Fateh Ali Khan & Tulsi Kumar. Melodious piano tunes open the song. Sounds very much like Nadeem-Shravan's previous work but I am not against it. Song is very soft, beautiful & is very easy on ears. Listen to it once & you will start humming Tu Hi Rab Tu Hi Dua every now & then. Tune is simple yet addictive. Good start to the album. 2. Lagan Lagi More Piya :- Singer(s) - Shreya Ghoshal & Shahab Sabri. Reminds...

A Few Unknown Gems Sung by KK - My Review!

My review on  few songs of KK that haven't been noticed by people. List is still incomplete. Will add once I hear more of his relatively unnoticed songs. Please click the song name to play. A few are available as video & not audio. 1. Barhaan Dil : - KK .  From the movie ' Mr. Singh & Mrs. Mehta '. This one is perhaps the first ever Ghazal sung by KK. Composed by Ustaad Shujaat Husain Khan & Shaarang Dev Pandit (Son of Pandit Jasraj) .  Has got a BLUES feeling associated with it. KK has sung this rather beautifully. A very melodious composition complete with super singing. Orchestration is not so heavy, not so light. I can say, its a kinda fusion of western instruments & Indian music style. Go for it. It will please you all the more.  2. Yeh Tanhaai :- KK .  From the movie ' Mukhbiir' ( originally taken from KK's debut album Pal ), this is one track that really feels smooth as silk. Very subtle and melodious. Has g...
