Ferry Corsten presents Gouryella - Anahera

Once in a while, I stumble upon a song that not only gets stuck in my head but also in my heart! Music has amazing capabilities and we all know it. Everyone has a different perception about effects of music. I myself have a habit of associating music with weather/season/time. I have songs that remind me of winters 2012-13,  summers of 2012 or 2016, spring 2006 and what not :-)

Yesterday, while watching a live set by Jorn van Deynhoven, I came across a song that he played which immediately caught my attention. Its called Anahera (which means angel) and its a song by Dutch DJ/Trance Producer Ferry Corsten who presented this song under his alias Gouryella (used to be a duo with another Dutch DJ Tiesto but he left).

Anahera is not just a song. It is an emotion. It is not just another Uplifting Trance. It is literally Uplifting. It speaks a thousand words even when there are no vocals in it. It has a beautiful melody packed throughout. It has a typical piano riff that you find in most Uplifting Trance which is followed by that gorgeous anthemic Drop.

Anahera is the kind of song that really lifts my mood. It makes me feel life is beautiful. But what makes it so special? The answer lies in its official music video.

While I have seen many Europeans/Americans who are atheists & not that interested in topics about God, this video comes as a surprise. It talks about the presence of some sort of intelligence. Presence of a creator.

"We are Engineers.
But Who Engineered Us?"

This video describes the existence of Fibonacci sequence that appears in so many living/ non-living things on earth. It describes the existence of a pattern which forms the basis of life. It makes us think that yes, there is an existence of someone who created us. And all this comes as a pleasant surprise since most of the music videos these days are pure filth & trashy. I am sick of such stuff & Anahera comes to rescue :-) And no wonder it was chosen "Tune of the Year".
Preview/Buy Anahera on iTunes

Watch the song below to experience it. And turn up the volume :-)

Songs To Tell Your Love She Is Beautiful - My Favorites

Your girl is beautiful. You like her everything. Her eyes, face, smile, the way she speaks, the way she walks & what not? Today, I present a list of a few songs (both Hindi & English) that just beautifully describe HER beauty. It of course, is in my opinion & may not necessarily excite you. Like I always say, give songs their time to grow on you. Don't write it off straight away.  I am not including James Blunt's You're Beautiful as I have not heard that song properly. Also, Chaudahvin Ka Chaand doesn't feature here since am not very much into old songs. So, below is the list of my favourite songs that I hear to praise her beauty, in no particular order. 1. Main Agar Kahoon (Om Shanti Om) - Sonu Nigam & Shreya Ghoshal. Main agar kahoon tumsa haseen, kaaynaat mein nahin hai kahin, taareef ye bhi to sach mein kuchh bhi nahin. No need to explain anything. She indeed is beautiful & this song seconds that. 2. Ek Ladki To Dekh...

Dangerous Ishq - My Music Review

Reviewing Dangerous Ishq Music. Music : - Himesh Reshammiya  Lyrics : - Sameer Anjaan & Shabbir Ahmed. Dangerous Ishq has 5 originals, 4 Remixes & 2 Reprise version. It is one of those rare music albums that is based on Indian melody barring Umeed which is fast, peppy foot-tapping number. You won't find usual stuff in the album (talking about the 5 originals only). Music is simple, melodious, easy on ears & a bit repetitive. Below is the review of Dangerous Ishq. 1. Tu Hi Rab Tu Hi Dua :- Singer(s) - Rahat  Fateh Ali Khan & Tulsi Kumar. Melodious piano tunes open the song. Sounds very much like Nadeem-Shravan's previous work but I am not against it. Song is very soft, beautiful & is very easy on ears. Listen to it once & you will start humming Tu Hi Rab Tu Hi Dua every now & then. Tune is simple yet addictive. Good start to the album. 2. Lagan Lagi More Piya :- Singer(s) - Shreya Ghoshal & Shahab Sabri. Reminds...

A Few Unknown Gems Sung by KK - My Review!

My review on  few songs of KK that haven't been noticed by people. List is still incomplete. Will add once I hear more of his relatively unnoticed songs. Please click the song name to play. A few are available as video & not audio. 1. Barhaan Dil : - KK .  From the movie ' Mr. Singh & Mrs. Mehta '. This one is perhaps the first ever Ghazal sung by KK. Composed by Ustaad Shujaat Husain Khan & Shaarang Dev Pandit (Son of Pandit Jasraj) .  Has got a BLUES feeling associated with it. KK has sung this rather beautifully. A very melodious composition complete with super singing. Orchestration is not so heavy, not so light. I can say, its a kinda fusion of western instruments & Indian music style. Go for it. It will please you all the more.  2. Yeh Tanhaai :- KK .  From the movie ' Mukhbiir' ( originally taken from KK's debut album Pal ), this is one track that really feels smooth as silk. Very subtle and melodious. Has g...
