My favorite Eurovision Contest Songs!

Eurovision contest has given us some beautiful songs. My first encounter with Eurovison was when I came across Lordi's winning song Hard Rock Halleluja. I got hooked to it straightaway. Then I heard Alexander Rybak's Fairytale & liked that as well..This year while browsing through Eurovision contest videos on YouTube, i came across a few brilliant songs that has become my favorites. Below is the list. 1. " Qele Qele " by Sirusho . Armenian Singer & more of a Beauty Queen Sirusho's Qele Qele is instantly likeable. Very catchy tunes & cool lyrics. This performance was outstanding & I loved her face, song & presentation. Treat for both ears & eyes. I just love her. 2. " We Could Be The Same " by MaNga . Turkish Band MaNga took everybody by surprise with their entry We Could Be The Same. It could be one of the best live performances I have ever seen. Nu Metal is quite interesting flavor of Rock. Percussion is great,

'Bas Yun Hi' by KK - Amazing Song!

Bas Yun Hi - sung by KK Many times we miss some good music just because the movie doesn't become popular & is not promoted well. And since I am always in search of good music, I keep googling for songs. Was searching for something on Saavn.com & it took me to an album called Bas Yun Hi . Its title track is instantly likeable. Sung by none other than maestro KK , this one sounds very energetic & fresh. The song takes us back to the days when Pop music was omnipresent. Bas Yun Hi has a Pop / Rock feel & will appeal to you straightaway. From start till end, this song gives you feel of Pop that has been immensely poplular in 90s. Sounds very much like any of those hit Pop numbers. Electronic tunes, percussion gel well with KK's owesome voice. KK sounds quite young here. Arrangements are a bit complex but go really well with KK's voice. Tune is catchy. Do give it a try. KK's fans will love this a lot, am sure. There are 3 more songs by KK in th

Love Is In The Air (Pop Music Album) - My Music Review / Opinion

Reviewing "Love Is In The Air" Pop music album Love Is In The Air - Pop Music Album Pop culture seems to have lost somewhere now. I still remember my childhood days when I was hooked to Albums like Deewana (Sonu Nigam) , Tanha Dil (Shaan) & Pal (KK) . There used to be so much freshness in music that time. Now a days pop has paved way to item songs & usual bollywood stuff. Though still there are composers who have maintained quality in bollywood music. Love Is In The Air is one of those very few Pop albums that actually release these days. Otherwise Pop is lost. Barring Sonu Nigam, KK & Shreya Ghoshal, almost all the famous contemporary singers' voice feature in this album. First 2 songs just stand out. 1. Jaan Ho Meri : - Singer - Shaan. Typical Pop number. Piano chords open this mushy romantic, sugary song. Tunes are quite catchy. Shaan sounds very fresh like his Pop days. Electronic organ also accompanies piano quite well. Good opening to the

Yaara (Javed Ali's Pop Album) - My Music Review

Reviewing Yaara - Javed Ali's Pop Album. Yaara : - Music - Rajendra Shivv.  Singer - Javed Ali. When we have Javed Ali behind the mic, we always expect something soulful, something melodious, something romantic! His album Yaara lives upto the expectations. Though its nothing outstanding or extraordinary, it provides adequate relief in form of noiseless, easy on ear songs. Composer Rajendra has done a good job. Fusion can be felt in almost all the songs. Good thing is that its a small album consisting of only 6 songs (4 original & 2 good remix). Will grow on you. Give it some time. Thare Khatir :- The name itself suggests that there will be touch of Rajasthani folk music in this song. Its a fusion of Rajasthani folk, Indian classic music & Rock (in terms of Guitar riffs). Good experiment, must say. Javed Ali sings effortlessly. USP is the Indian melody & interesting lyrics. It comes as a refreshing change to those who have been bored of typical noisy b

Qasam Se Qasam Se - Music Review / Opinion

Reviewing music album Qasam Se Qasam Se. Qasam Qasam Se - Music : Shailendra - Sayanti. When an album consists of songs sung by master singers like Kunal Ganjawala, Shaan, Mohit Chouhan & KK and Jal Band, it becomes a compulsion for me to check that out. Qasam Se Qasam Se belongs to this category. These big names made me listen to the album & I was not disappointed! Though, its average only. 3 songs stand out. Jal Band disappoints so do songs by Kunal & Shaan. Below is the brief review of the 6 out of 12 songs that I have heard. Will review others shortly. Read on. 1. Zindagi Keh Rahi Hai : - Singer - Mohit Chouhan. When Mohit Chouhan sings a song, we can't help but get lost in that. Zindagi Keh Rahi Hai is really a beautiful song. But Mohit sings his heart out in his typical style. Interesting preludes consisting of Sax & some aalaaps / croons provide a perfect opening to this easy on ear song. Sounds a bit like some Mehfil song. Percussion is rea

Teri Meri Kahaani - My Music Review

Teri Meri Kahaani - Music Review! Teri Meri Kahaani : - Music - Sajid-Wajid. Lyrics - Prasoon Joshi Teri Meri Kahaani is an average (possibly below average) album. Only 2 songs are really very good & rest of them are mere gap-fillers. I might sound harsh but Sajid-Wajid are expected to deliver better music. Afterall their debut album Deewana (Sung by Sonu Nigam ) was a runaway hit & was way too melodious. Teri Meri Kahaani is a typical contemporary bollywood album that is not very appealing in terms of melody. Below is the music review of Teri Meri Kahaani. Please don't mind if it contradicts your opinion. 1. Mukhtasar : - Singer - Wajid. Electronic Piano tunes open the opening track of album. This one is catchy right from the beginning. Wajid sings in his usual way. Orchestration is heavy & compliments the song very well. Lyrics by Prasoon Joshi are good. Tune is really good. Based on typical club beats. Quite likeable piece of music. Wajid's voice sounds

Shanghai - My Music Review / Opinion

Reviewing Music of Shanghai! Music - Vishal-Shekhar. Have not heard all of the songs from Shanghai . Only 3 songs I have heard & based on that I am writing this review which is more like my opinion rather than pure review. Will add rest of the songs soon as I am very busy these days. Shanghai is slightly different from usual Vishal-Shekhar stuff. Not an outstanding album but still very much enjoyable. I am hooked to Khudaaya for its melody & Shekhar's voice. Below is the review of the 3 songs. I know this is rather short review! 1. Dua : - Singers - Nandini Sirkar, Arijit Singh & Shekhar Ravjiani. Didn't like it much. May be I need to give it a few more hearings. Will review it once more after listening to it properly. 2. Khudaaya : -   Singers - Shekhar Ravjiani & Raja Hasan. This one stands out. The best song of the album. USP is Shekhar's voice. Neat composition & great lyrics. I always wonder why Shekhar doesn't sing mor
